In the following pages you will find a family history for the following names: Leadbetter, my maternal Grandfather, from Camden, Maine. Young, my maternal Grandmother, from Mill Cove, Nova Scotia. Norton my Father, from Guilford CT., and Baldwin my paternal Grandmother also from CT. These pages will be added as I have time to research more information. Anyone who feels they may have a connected ancestry is welcome to contact me.
This is the type of information that the Genealogy art work is based on and which must be supplied in order for me to create such a work. Of course photographs and even tin types are essential also and any personal information such as eye and hair color is extremely helpful. In doing "Heritage: The Ladies Line" I was fortunate enough to have a braided lock of my paternal Great Grandmother's hair. A popular Victorian keepsake of loved ones, (I also have a lock of my Father's baby hair in a glass fronted brooch). There had never been any discussion about my paternal Great Grandmother during my childhood and I as a child didn't ask such questions. This is where the family "pack rats" came into play. I have to compliment anyone who has this trait for as annoying as it may be to some it does create and preserve a link to our past and we are daily creating "family history".
