Jun-Sept. "Sea History" Magazine Summer 2007
Linda Norton is the featured artist
on the cover of "Sea History" magazine,
the publication of the National Maritime Historical Society. The
magazine also
contains a two page article about her maritime watercolors and a single page
about
her participation in the USCG art program with pictures of USCG personal.
Three of the
paintings in the article are featured at the Lighthouse Museum conference room
in Rockland.

are being shipped to Coos Bay, Oregon to be exhibited at the
exhibit
Linda's work was chosen from 231 submissions by 101 artists. The panel of jurors
selected 82 works by 55 artists to be included in this exhibit. Ms. Norton will attend
the artist
only 'Sneak Peak'
opening in Oregon on the 13th of July and the awards ceremony on the 14th.
She
is extremely
pleased to have her work from the mid coast area of Maine be represented in
at
such a prestigious show in Oregon.

Commerce "After Hours"
The monthly meeting of the CRL chamber was
held at the Studio, Home and Apartment.
Chamber members were invited to browse through all areas of the Studio, House
and
new apartment (Bayview Arie). Approximately sixty members attended and viewed
fine art
in the gallery as well as the house. Some examples of Faux finishing were also
apparent
on walls, floors and ceilings. A nice time was had by all.
